hi sir, while writing our answers can we underline some key areas of the answers so that we can attract the markers attention towards the important bits and part of the answer?? iam sorry sir if sound silly to ask this question
February 24, 2016 at 8:33 am #301789Yes, but don’t do it too much otherwise you end up with more words underlined than not.
It is more important to make sure you break your answer down into paragraphs with a separate paragraph for each important point you want to make and explain. Markers do not like having to deal with answers that are continuous pages of text. These are more difficult to assess because the marker has to judge where one point ends and another begins. Paragraphs are ‘waving’ at the marker, saying ‘Here’s another point being made’.
February 24, 2016 at 3:42 pm #301854Hi sir,
Can we answer some questions in point form on the exam? Or is paragraph form required? Also, what do you suggest to do with the 15 minutes reading time? Should we attempt multiple choice questions then or focus on the questions worth the most marks? Or should we just read all the questions?
Further, would you suggest we try to answer questions based on a mark per minute? Or would you suggest less time on multiple choice questions and more time spent on section B questions?
