Hi,
Sir hope you will be fine. I am going to attempt F5 in march 2016, its my 4th attempt, every time failed between 45 to 50…. whats the blunder i am making in every sitting , i didn’t recognized yet but i have studied my teacher notes, past papers also some of the articles and in spite of that i remained unsuccessful to get clear my paper. this time again i am going to sit for march 2016 attempt, so please advise me and guide me what should i do and how to do ?….. i will be very grateful to you for this kindness. Thanks .. May ALLAH bless you.AmeenFebruary 10, 2016 at 8:48 am #299904It is obviously not possible for me to know what you are doing wrong in the exam.
However, did you answer all of the MCQ’s? You must answer all of them even if some of them are guesses (making just one correct guess means an extra 2 marks).
Did you write something for every part of every question in Section B? You must write something for each part – it will almost certainly get some marks. It is better to hand in an attempt for every part of every question (even if none of the parts are completely finished) than to finish some questions but leave others unanswered.
You say you practiced past questions, but best is to buy a Revision Kit because they have lots more questions to practice, and you can never get enough practice.
When you were practising questions, did you spend time learning from the answers to the written parts of questions? Calculations are only 50% of the exam – the other 50% are testing your understanding.
For the calculation parts of Section B, did you show your workings neatly? The marks are for your workings rather than for the final answer. If the marker could not make out what you were doing then you would not get the marks.
For the written parts of Section B, did you leave a blank line between each point you were making? (If not there is a danger of the marker missing valid points). Is your writing easy to read for the marker? (You will obviously think it is, but ask a friend to read your writing and see how easy they find it 🙂 )
I don’t know whether or not you have watched our free lectures, but if not then do – certainly on those topics you feel less happy about.
Download our free Study Guide, which has links to all of our lectures and also lists the best past exam questions to attempt on each topic.February 10, 2016 at 9:07 am #299907Thanks a lot for your response, i didn’t leave any MCQ un attempted even a guess but i ticked it must,
while for part B i tried my level best to write something related if its not clear to me in exam,
i also practiced exam kit,
i also showed working for every calculation where as possible,
beside all these points you have mentioned i didn’t cross the 50% limit.
more over i will watch your video lectures and ia m hopefull that this time i will pass in shaa ALLAH.February 13, 2016 at 2:22 pm #300295I wish you all the best for March 🙂
