Hi Mr Mike..
Regarding part of payment of a debt, you said if I pay part of my debt by giving cash ($70 ,debt is $100) with the condition I’ll pay the rest tomorrow, then the receiver agrees…But tomorrow if I can’t afford , he can sue me even he let me debt off on that day…But what about giving anything instead of cash service or the goods,, You explained it’s a good charge if I give a glass worth of $70 with condition I’ll pay the rest tomorrow and I won’t can he sue me?
2.What about he let me debt off when I give the goods worth of $70 and tomorrow he changes his mind?

2) What did you give in exchange for him “letting you off”? Nothing? Then the debt is still payable
February 6, 2016 at 12:06 pm #299468Good afternoon Mr Mike…
1..I’ll give him part of my debt $70 (full debt is $100) and I ask him can we call it a day would you receive it as a full discharge or payment…He says yes so I won’t owe him anymore…
But tomorrow, he won’t keep his promise and insists I pay the rest…If he sues me , will he win? (But he agreed)2.If I give $70 worth of goods to him and accepts it as a full discharge….Tomorrow he will change his mind asking me the rest too…(But he accepted it as a full payment). Can he sue me and win?

You have given him $100 worth of goods – he agrees that it’s $100 worth because he accepts these goods in full discharge. Debt is settled
