Hi Mike, hope you’re in good health.
First of all, I really like your sense of humour, keeps me focued during the lectures. Anyway, I just want to know which kit are you referring to in your lectures, I can find the questions if I know which publisher are they from..

hope i have not made a fool out of myself..

    Best Regards

“p.s. please introduce a way to delete a post” – NO WAY!!!

If we allowed students to delete posts, that would deprive us of the amusement we derive from reading monologues from soliloquising students that realise their own errors!!!

    :-))

P7? The same advice as for P1! Read, read, read. Just read – start to finish of the revision kit. Over and over, as often as you can. When you have a spare 10 minutes, read a question and the answer. Immerse yourself on the terminology, the style, the way an answer addresses the verb within a question requirement

Just read and read and read.

Then post again around the 20th February and ask for “What comes next?”

That approach kind of backfired at me when I attempted p1 and p5, I ended up inadvertently memorising the answers instead of figuring out “how to answer” them…
thank you for the advice though

The intention is not that you should memorise the printed solutions!

The idea is that you should get a full appreciation of the style of questions asked, the repetitive nature of the questions (and answers) the difference between answering a partner’s email and drafting a press release, between preparing a speech for an annual general meeting and a presentation to prospective investors

Getting to know how “What evidence should you expect to find on an audit file?” differs from “What further procedures should be undertaken?”

The idea of reading the stuff is that it’s a whole lot more interesting than ploughing through a study text – at least you can be assured that the stuff I recommend that you read is typical of exam material!
