Dear sir,
Please could you let me know the exam tips of Opentuition (expert predictions) for
paper f8 ??December 6, 2015 at 5:08 am #288079We are not producing specific tips for any subject this time. In F8 there are 20 MCQ , 4 x 10 and 2 x 20 so the whole syllabus can be covered.
September 22, 2016 at 5:28 am #341307Hi Sir,
I Just wanted to check if the open tution notes covers the latest and entire F8 syllabus for December 2016 exam. I was referring to the new book of F8 ‘Beckers’ and there are some new topics for which I cannot see in open tution notes. Further there are some lectures available on opentution, but not in the latest Becker syllabus. I would like to share below details about which topic covered and not covered as stated below.
Chapters in Becker’s Text Book but not in open tuition notes
1) Service Organization
2) Accounting Estimates
3) Using the work of expert
4) Share capital, Reserves and Directors remuneration
5) Loans bank and cash
6) Liabilities, Provisions and Contingencies
7) Small business and not-for-profit organization
8) Using the work of Internal Auditor
9) Audit Materiality
10) Test of Control
11) Test of controlChapters in Open Tuition notes but not in Becker Text Book
1) Event occurring after the reporting period
2) Audit of accruals and prepayments
3) Audit of Third partyI really like the open tuition notes and the lectures wanted to continue to use the same, hence I really need your help to understand if opentution notes would cover entire syllabus to avoid missing any exam topic.
September 22, 2016 at 8:09 am #341317I think you need to look more carefully at out notes. Just because we don’t have a chapter heading the same as Becker’s does no mean that the topic is not covered.
Events after the reporting date and accruals and prepayments are certainly examinable and I’m sure Becker notes contain these subjects.
I don’t recognise ‘Audit of a third party’ I think you are referring to chapter 23 which looks at internal audit and using the work of other third parties. These will be in Becker too.
We believe our notes and lecture equip you to pass the exam PROVIDED you do lots of question practice.
