    Sir, can you tell me when do we add issue cost and when do we deduct it because in December 2009 question 3 a the wxaminer has added it while in June 2015 question 4 a he has deducted it

    shouldn’t the number of shares be (3900000+20000000) instead of 24,000000

    In December 2009 the issue costs needed to be added to determine how much needed to be raised from the rights issue.
    In June 2015, the question specifically says that the issue costs are paid out the cash raised.

    With regard to your second question, there are currently 20M shares in issue. The rights issue is 4M shares, which gives a total of 24M shares. (I have no idea where you are getting your figures from)

    I actually deducted the issue cost and then divided it by the share price to get the number of shares
