Hi sir, in June 2012 quest 1 – I was wondering how come in the answer didn’t the examiner re calculate the semi variable machine cost? In fact he just included the fixed cost

No he didn’t.
Note 4 of the question says that the semi-variable cost of machine set-up costs includes fixed costs. The remainder is variable and has been included in the totals of the variable costs.
