Hi everyone. I have completed F1-f3 exams. And now I am planning to self study for the remaining exams. I want to know that has anyone self study and successfully passed ACCA? What should be the study plan and routine? What book materials do we need? From where can we take help?I am from UK and will be needing guidance on self study for ACCA.

Hi, I’ve just passed my final ACCA exam (all 1st time passes) having self taught myself using OpenTuition and the Kaplan exam practice books.
I think it really depends on how you learn, but you really have to have good time management skills and be very disciplined.
I’m also curious. I have always used in-class BPP for the 11 units (F1 to P2) and have found their material, and usually their tuition, very useful. However I had to change to Kaplan for P3 and did not like their format.
For the March exam I will have to do online learning with BPP and am wondering if its feasible to pass, what I expect to be, P6. I found F6 very enjoyable and tax came to me a lot easier than other units, but I know that P6 will be much more challenging than F6.
My biggest problem is motivation though and I know I will put off studying. Plus, its 5 days’ worth of classes for P6, which means a lot of material to cover.
I did F6 online (recorded lectures, not live) and P6 in the classroom.
If you have taken F6 relatively recently (I.e it included inheritance tax) the syllabus is mostly overlap but the questions are different format (more advice on what to do rather than straight forward tax computations, a list of numbers and no advice on which tax rules to apply, how much money to borrow after tax efficiency is carried out to fund a project).
I therefore found the classes boring as we covered tax rules I knew and could remember whereas if I had been studying online I could’ve just done questions to make sure I wasn’t missing anything and move onto the areas that were new.
If you have a good grasp of F6 then I wouldn’t worry about doing P6 online. The only reason you would want to do P6 in the classroom is if you need to dedicate the time to study (I was 6+ months pregnant at the time and found it hard to concentrate hence choosing the classroom but even then I wish I’d have done it online)
