    Hi sir..kindly explain the following
    what is the difference between value engenring and value analysis..i only know both techniques for cost comtrolling.

    Q2..diffence between mangemnt of cost and controlling cost

    Neither term is mentioned in the syllabus for Paper F5!

    However value analysis is examining the systems and design, value engineering is then modifying the systems and design (having done the analysis).

    Managing and controlling costs mean the same.

    Our lectures stress the importance of re-examining the design (which is what this is referring to) but there is absolutely no need to refer to it in the exam as ‘value engineering’ 🙂
