Good afternoon John
Going over learning rates (Question 100 MCQ Kaplan Exam Kit)
The question is “the time for the 1st batch of 50 units was 500 hours. The total time for the 1st 16 batches of 50 units was 5,731. Whats is the learning rate?”
i have calculated that the learning rate is 90% but answer is 92%
i have calculated as follows:
16th Batch is 500 x 16 = 8,000 hours
5731 / 8000 = 90%
However this is wrong
The average time for 16 batches is 5731/16 = 358.1875 per batch.
Therefore the learning rate is the fourth root of 358.175 / 500, which is equal to 0.92 (or 92%)
