Hi mike
Just checking is there a mistake in the solution to question 3, the solution looks like it is calculating the excess depreciation based on a remaining uel of 5 Years but of course the question says it’s 2.5 years?
Cheers
Hugh
I’m sure I’ve just answer this! Anyway, here we go again!
No, there’s no mistake! Let me ask you these two questions.
1) Did you “rtfq”?, and
2) How many years are there between the date of transfer and the accounting year end?
Need I go further?
There is 6 months to accounting year end, so 6 months depreciation =(5000/2.5)*50% and (4000/2.5)*50%
Thats great cheers mike
I didn’t really think about what I was trying to calculate
Well, there’s a lesson learnt!
Well done
