Hi,
I have cleared f4,f5,f6 in December 2014I am sitting for f7, f8, f9 in June 2015. For some personal reasons I couldn’t studied before. Now it’s one month left only! And the f7 syllabus seems too big. Will it be wise to sit f7 this sitting? If u advise me to start f7 now then please let me know what should be my approach for next 1 month. Thank you.April 28, 2015 at 11:54 am #243072I would advise against it, unless you are ONLY sitting this paper and have heaps of time. Seriously.
April 28, 2015 at 1:55 pm #243090F7 is a big paper yes. but if you are doing it with F8 and is fairly comfortable with the IFRS/IAS then you are one step closer to passing.
for the next month try to do a consol per day. most of the other questions are based on your understanding of the standards.you didnt state how much time you have for studying. but the key to passing any of these exams is practicing so if you can do at least one question per day for each paper that would be a good start. even if you are not sure of the answer do what you thing is correct and then compare it with the answer in the kit.
There are certain basics that you need to know e.g. with F9 you know that you have to do a NPV, a WACC, there will be something about working capital.
F7 a consol or cash-flow statement plus the standards. F8 the big question will be about risk and doing either a test of control or substantive test.there are many ways to prepare as you can alternately use the question papers for the last 4 yrs and do one paper a day, it all depend on how you learn.
Good luck!!

August 3, 2020 at 5:21 pm #579099Hi! I am new to ACCA with exemptions from paper F1 to F4 and F6, F8. I am planning to write paper FR in September and there is hardly 1 month left for the paper. My present status is that I know basics of all standards and is confident in Ratio analysis. I hav’nt started practicong questions though. Can anyone suggest me a chapterwise study plan for next one month to clear paper F7.
Iam a full time student and is attempting only one paper in september.
Thank you in advance.
