Hi,
I battle with case studies in the exam. Specifically, I seem to take long to grasp issues because a typical case study would be from a different industry, e.g. mining or electricity generation in the last sitting.
Is there a source from where I learn about different industries?
Don’t waste time with that. Examiners do not expect candidates to know about specific industries and will always supply enough information in the question. Your chances of happening to learn about an industry that appears in a question are low. For example, P3 contained a scenario on the fishing industry and P5 a question on performance in a school. There are many other examples of unexpected industries.
Make sure you use your 15 minutes reading time to study the longest question. Pick up issues described there: be suspicious of all details supplied in the question and ask yourself ‘Why has that piece of information been provided?’ Nothing is said in questions without a reason. Think what models/approaches might work. Have confidence that you will identify relevant points to make in your answer.
