There is a question called Henry Company in Dec 2008 exam paper. I am unable to understand the logic behind the answer to part (c) where we are asked to demonstrate the how they calculated the learning rate of 95%.

Have you watched the free lecture on learning curves? I go through an almost identical example in the lecture.
We know the time for the first unit is 24 hours, and that the second is 21.6 hours.
So the average time per unit when we make 2 is (24+21.6)/2 = 22.8Since the doubling rule applies to the average time per unit, the learning rate is therefore 22.8 / 24 = 0.95 (or 95%)
(You are expected to know the doubling rule in addition to being able to use the formula.)
