It’s a bit confused when the acceptance becomes effective. I read it would be, if written, on the date on the envelope. Now doing a question it says it’s when the offeror receives it.
Could you clarify it to me, please?
And just came another question to my mind now, if the offeror specify to the afferee that the offer will be open for certain amount of days only, and, if the acceptance reaches the offeror later than that date, it’s up to the offeror to accept it or not for them to be in a contract?
Global law differs from English law here. In Global law acceptance is effective from the moment it is received whereas in English law acceptance is effective when it is posted (the postal rule – probably won’t ever be asked again!)
In your second question, if a time / date is identified then any “acceptance” after that time / date is ineffective unless the offeror chooses to allow it
