I failed for the second time f8 42%, f9 47%, first time was f8 30% and f9 42%, should i try to take them both considering that i can only learn 1.30-2 hours a day? I started reading bpp study book, considering that the second time i read only open tuition study materials and bpp revision kit, maybe I missed something. It is hard for me to use Audit language, I think this in a weakness.
February 19, 2015 at 5:46 pm #229232I see no reason not to try them both.
I would not advise you to start the BPP Text book at page 1 and then reading through to P400 (or whatever). You won’t be able to take it in.
Better to work through the revision kit again, actually writing out your answers, practising your use of audit language and terminology. Compare your answer to the model answer then go to the study text to fill in gaps in your knowledge.
March 2, 2015 at 1:45 pm #230970I have only completed f1 -f3 and in the recent attempt i failed in f5 with 41% , this is the fifth time I have failed in it . now I m planning to go for f8 . what do u suggest .
should i go for f8 or some other papers now ?
if not , then what should I do ?March 3, 2015 at 5:11 pm #231136Just studying F5 again is likely to be boring so an additional paper could be useful.. You don’t say if you were exempt or have passed F4. F4 and F8 have no calculations and provide a good contrast to F5.

this is so true i had to do this for my resit and a 48 turned into a 59.
also read the technical articles, there is one on how to structure your answers.
I found Gromit notes and slides very helpful if you have a smart phone i suggest that you get a copy the notes and you can go through them whenever you get the chance, at the line at the grocery. i skimmed through the slides before going into exam its a great tool.
thanks Gromit. > i’m going through your P3 notes now and hopefully they will be as big a help as your F8 ones esp. since i’m poor at written papers.
March 4, 2015 at 5:37 pm #231286P3 is the best paper!
Financial reporting (F7 and P2) tell you how to record what happened a year ago!
Tax tells you how much the government takes
Auditing tells you how your FS are checked
F9 has weird dodgy theoretical stuff like CAPM.
P1 tells you how to be good (never much fun).P3 tells you how to get rich!
I’m sure P3 will go well for you PROVIDED you attempt lots of questions. 🙂
March 4, 2015 at 6:18 pm #231294thank you,
i’m still at the stage of going through your lectures and technical articles.
you will know when i get stuck in the rev kit since i will not be interested in any other post unless it have to do with a past question that i don’t understand.
March 5, 2015 at 7:53 am #231353unfortunately, i have decided to attempt only f8, because i have 2 very small children, and i am afraid that i will not be able to spend enough time studying. I prefer to concentrate on one and try my best. But i will follow your advice on actually writing down my answers . Thank you!
