Hello John, I’m here to bother you again. I’m going to attempt P4 in June, Any advice on where to start from? And would OT lectures and Past exams be enough?
I would start by watching the lectures together with the course notes.
I don’t know whether or not you took F9 or whether you were exempt, and if you did take it then how long ago it was. However, a lot of F9 is repeated at P4 (at a higher level) and so if you do find gaps in your knowledge then go back and watch the relevant F9 lectures (which is everything except the management of working capital).
Just looking at past exam papers is not enough – this exam is masters degree level and is difficult. You must have a current Revision Kits from one of the ACCA approved publishers, and you must work through all of the questions properly.
Although most of the syllabus is covered in the lectures (and the gaps will be filled with extra lectures during the coming month), the more extra reading that you do the better. There is a lot of writing in the exam and overall it is much more testing your understanding and giving advice, then purely calculating.
Okay thanks, Well yes it was few attempts ago and I did bother you a lot in F9 😀 Do you cover theory bits in your lectures as well or they’re all working ones?
