hi Gromit
unfortunately failed it at 48%
was doing self study using Bpp.. I think I lacked practice on key topics
now I’m looking forward on OT
Can I know the key areas I should focus more for f8.
because I don’t want to go in details of all chapters as I already assimilate knowledgeThanks
February 10, 2015 at 8:16 am #227533Sorry you were unsuccessful. It’s irritating when only a couple more marks were needed.
The new structure of F8 means that all areas are important and I am not prepared to guess which ones will be particularly imporant for June 2015. You might be over estimating your knowledger on some chapters and I don’t think you should leave any subject out for your retake.
You need to look at all F8 papers, say going back to 2010, and look carefully about how they answer the questions, particularly responding to the scenario. You also need to try as many OT questions as you can possibly find. There are substantial banks here onOT and the BPP revision kit will also have them (if it’s for December 2014 onwards).
February 14, 2015 at 6:12 pm #228387I have appeared in F8 Paper for 4 times as follows:
ACCA Pass Rates Marks Obtain
1. June 2013 40 49 Differential 1 Mark
2. Dec 2013 37 46 Differential 4 Marks
3. June 2014 40 48 Differential 2 Marks
4. Dec 2014 45 35 Differential 15 MarksThis is very discouraging, demotivating and embarrassing situation for me. I am almost break in half because of this and not able to pay you such high and increasing fee again and again for 1 paper.
February 15, 2015 at 4:12 pm #228460I don’t know where you live, but is there any chance that you could go on a short course. Even a one day question-based course would be helpful. I’m assuming that your knowledge level is sufficiently high and that your problem is in interpreting the question and the examiner’s requirements.
