Hi
With regards to the September 2015 pilot paper, if you enter for a paper and pass the paper, does that mean you have passed the paper?
Thanks
OluJanuary 31, 2015 at 3:47 pm #224526Are you really a P2 student?
Which 2015 pilot paper? (is there one)?
What do you think a pilot paper is (if there is one)?
A pilot paper is issued on the occasion of each change in the identity of an ACCA examiner and / or syllabus and / or exam format. The idea is to illustrate the new style that can be expected from going into the future.
If you sit a pilot paper, that’s just a piece of worthwhile practice for you and is well-worth seeking to attempt pilot papers.
Now, let me get my head round the last part of your post:
” if you enter for a paper and pass the paper, does that mean you have passed the paper?”
Did you read this post through before hitting the send key?
January 31, 2015 at 11:27 pm #224560Mr Little i read my post before sending, it is better to ask questions if you are unsure.
ACCA starts the 4 exam sessions from September 2015 and clearly says it will be pilot. see below if you do not know.

February 1, 2015 at 7:53 am #224572The word pilot is mentioned just once in the ACCA’s announcement – “as September is a pilot, exam entry for the session will be different ….”
A “pilot” is someone at the front of an aircraft, a person leading the way. It has started to be used to describe anything that is the first in an intended series and thus “September 2015 is a pilot” means that it is the first.
The ACCA article does not describe the September exam as a pilot. The September session is a pilot, not the exams. Do you see the difference?
Now, to get back to your original post ……. If you enter an exam in the September 2015 (pilot session) diet, and pass it, will it count as a pass? Yes, of course it will! Why wouldn’t it? September is merely a pilot because it’s the first of many in the new structure, but the EXAMS in September are not pilot exams
Ok? (and please let’s get back to Mike and drop the Mr Little)
🙂
