Hello,
I am trying to recalculate the investor ratios for the example, however, my answers have different decimal places from the answers given in the course notes. I would like to know if the figures given in the summary of financial information should actually be shown in thousands (‘000) of dollars. For example, for year 1, should the dividend payable be $2,000 or $2,000,000?
For the dividend per share figure for Year 1, I am getting 0.00022 ($2,000/9,000,000 shares). However, the answer booklet shows a value of 22.2.
I have a feeling that I am definitely not setting out the figures correctly.
Could you please assist me by pointing out my error in making the calculations?January 26, 2015 at 9:29 am #223758Yes – the question should state that all the figures are in $’000’s.
