Do we still get mark if we accidentally write those name in short form, like Fair Value of Net Assets we wrote it as FV of NA?
Thanks.I can’t believe that, in the answer to a computational question, you’re still thinking about writing out in full “fair value of subsidiary net assets at date of acquisition” instead of “FV of SNA @ DOA”
Never mind “accidentally” – I would abbreviate as a conscious decision.
In an answer that involves writing sentences / reports / explanations – in fact pretty much every question other that the 35 marks of consolidation – then I agree that you should not abbreviate. But even then it’s possible.
Say you were going to refer it IFRS a number of times within an answer, then the first time you refer to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) then do what I have just done and show the abbreviation in brackets after the long form
From then on, it’s acceptable to use IFRS
