Hi Gromit,
I am so confuse with this question:
– Companies are not required to establish and maintain an internal audit function ,
I personally think this is an unclear question, and look like an incomplete question and make us confuse ,
I think the Question should be worded like this :-
It is not a mandatory requirement to establish and maintain an internal audit function
or Companies are not required to establish and maintain an internal audit function but it is better have one………
Then i will agree this, since we are in exam condition , we need a clear cut question, hopefully you can reflect this to the examiner.
I’m sorry, but I think this question is not unclear. You second rewording isn’t really yhat different form that in the exam:
Companies are not required to establish and maintain an internal audit function [True]
…but it better to have one [also True]
