Hi, could you please explain the boundary-less organizational structure: hollow, modular and virtual?

    Thank you.

Hollow: all non-core operations are outsourced (accounting, HR, legal) leaving the company to concentrate on core activities.

Modular: This is a manufacturing business where work is done outside of the company by different suppliers. Each supplier produces a specific piece of the final product. When all the pieces are done, the organization then assembles the final product.

Virtual: A virtual organisation is one which operates primarily through electronic communications. Staff work together remotely, with little or no dependence on physical premises. Instead, communications take place through media such as emails, e-conferencing, extranet and intranet.

for more information, but don’t spend long on it.

Yes in both. If you do Ctrl+F in the notes you can find terms.
