Hello, guys! Can anyone give me a few tips about the f1, 2013 exam in June? Plus, I`m studying f1 using books and study material from 2009-2010. Is it going to affect my exam or can this prepared me equally to the exam?
Thank you very much.
January 3, 2013 at 3:50 am #56661Hey,
sorry to dissapoint you ,
but F1 exam was changed in 2011, thus using outdated materials here will adversly affect your mark. You might still pass though ..but u will face questions at exam , which u never saw in your books. That will be a pressure.
Try at least to work out whole of F1 OT notes until u are clear with them, and check out examiner’s reports at ACCA website, as they contain some examples of recent exam questions with solutions.
And wherever possible, get yourself a recent revision kit!!the only hint about this test exam is : practice practice practice. Until you can do each of those test questions in no time. Do not sink too much in a book. It will take you eternity to complete reading it and another eternity to rereading it again. So practice questions instead, as that’s what u need to pass.
Good luck.

The best way to pass F1 exams is to read the book thoroughly 3-4 times. U should break up the whole text like this
1-Theories
2-Advantages & disadvantages
3-Processes & anything which has points to rememberThese things above u need to learn by heart. The rest of the book u just need to read. And only do the kit after you are finished with the chapter. This method proved highly effective for me & I scored 94% in my f1 exam.
