Dear Tutor,
I need some advice. I must understand the range of models that
could be presented in question one (1). Or should I say the models
that are featured in the first part of the syllabus.
Could you name them for me.Thank You
Pearly2November 17, 2014 at 5:15 pm #210760You could be required to use any model in any question. You are rarely required to explain models, but you are expected to be able to apply them to scenarios, so concentrate on being able to do that.
A model is important if it comes up! Some ‘models’ are little more than lists – but still useful. My top dozen would be:
1 PESTEL
2 5 Forces
3 Generic strategies
4 Ms model for resources
5 Ansoff’s matrix
6 Strategy evaluation: suitability, acceptability, feasibility
7 Boston consulting group
8 6Is of e-business
9 Harmon’s process strategy matrix
10 4 or 7 Ps for marketing
11 Project initiation document contents and project gateways
12 Job design and motivation (see https://www.accaglobal.com/uk/en/student/acca-qual-student-journey/qual-resource/acca-qualification/p3/technical-articles/strategy-and-people.html)Feel free to include particular favourites.
