Hi everyone. I am preparing for f6 and I am uncertain when to tax bonuses. Do we tax it when we get entitled or when we actually receive bonus.??? Thank you in advance.
The earlier of when it is paid or when the tax payer is entitled to it
Bonus is only taxable if the earlier of the date;
1. The Bonus is Paid
2. The Taxpayer is entitled to the Bonus
3. The Bonus is credited to the account
Falls in the current tax year
The earliest of
1)paid date
2)entitled date
3)credited on account date
4) The later of
i) y/e date and
ii)determined date
