I have a question about the mark schemes for the F5 Performance Management exam.

For some of the written answers (e.g. discuss how a zero-based budgeting system will benefit X business), if the point I am making and the reasons I am giving are not specifically included in the mark scheme will I receive any marks for my answer? As I practice questions it is often the case that I feel like I give a relevant and well argued/discussed answer but some of my points are not explicitly stated in the mark scheme. Will I still be able to gain marks for these answers?

    I’d appreciate any advice!

I’ve heard they tend to have extra points for written questions. Let say its 5 point question. And the examiner has 7 points to allocate. So the extra 2 are for your interpretations, if they are reasonable lol

If your points are reasonable then you will get marks for them (whether or not they are on the marking scheme).

Martynas is half correct – they often allocate marks for every valid point, but only up to a maximum of the marks given for the section. So if the section says 5 marks, then the maximum you can get is 5 points.
