Appreciate this maybe F5 brought forward, can I clarify my understanding of Performance Management & Performance Measurement:
Performance Management – concerned with how the board have achieved the strategic objectives, progress to date of KPI’s, CSF’s and objectives at all levels within the organisation.
Performance Measurement – is how well the company has performed financially, measure of growth and use of RATIO analysis.
Thanks 🙂
Performance management – fine as you define it.
Performance measurement should be wider. Eg balanced scorecard wants good performance on all four perspectives. Therefore you have to measure performance on all four, so measure items such customer satisfaction, turnround times for orders, number of new products launched.
It’s hard to manage without measuring.
Thanks that’s a great help 🙂
