Hi I have been working as a finance analyst for the last 27 months, my previous manager who is a qualified accountant has left and I now have a new boss who has just started, can my new boss sign off my experience for the time he has not been with the company? or do I need to contact the previous manager. or can one of the non qualified accountants I work with sign it off?

October 20, 2014 at 1:41 am #205040If you can find the previous manager that would be helpful, otherwise your current manager may sign you off after consulting with other personnel familiar with your work. He/she may use your previous work appraisals as a guide in addition to other information which may be obtained from your HR file (access to this information may be restricted by the HR personnel). Another option is to speak with your auditors who may have an idea of the type of work you have produced.

Doesn’t necessarily have to be an employer, but you need to document it and submit it through the ACCA online portal, then the sign off can be tracked and the approver authenticated. Mine was all signed off by a previous manager who was a ACCA member, so they had his details already
