pls, i’m studying for the december 2014 exams. both the revision and study kits i’m using is for Jan. ’13 to Jan ’14, but i noticed that the difference between the new and the one i’m using is not much at all. can I continue yo use them in order to save money? pls, i would like to hear from you as soon as possible.
October 5, 2014 at 7:52 pm #203581For Paper F3, the syllabus has not changed and so you can still use the Revision Kits that you already have – you do not need to buy new 🙂
If you watch our free lectures then you do not really need the Study Text anyway, but you must practice all the questions in the Revision Kit.
October 6, 2014 at 12:01 am #203596i’m studying for F2 & F3. are the study & revision kits still relevant?
secondly, i’ve noticed that your course notes & free lectures are so wondreful. can the study and revision kits be replaced with them?
thanks for the prompt reply.October 6, 2014 at 7:27 am #203609If you are happy with our lectures then you do not really need to use the Study Text.
However a Revision Kit is essential because it is vital that you practice questions and get used to the style of the questions and really check that you understand.
October 7, 2014 at 1:18 am #203678Hi, Moffat.you’ve not fully answered my question. i’m studying for the december 2014 exams. i’m writing F2 &F3. both the study text & revision kit is for Feb. 2013 to Feb. 2014. can i still use them?
i would like to hear from you as soon as possible.October 7, 2014 at 9:09 am #203708The syllabuses have not changed and so you can still use the Study Texts that you have.
The format of the exam has changed and so you will be best to get new Revision Kits because they will have questions in the format of both Section A and Section B of the exams (the Revision Kits you have will only have questions of the Section A type).
You also asked if our Course Notes and Lectures replaced the need to use the Study Text and Revision Kit. The answer to this is ‘yes’ with regard to the Study Texts – if you watch and understand all our lectures then you do not need to use the Study Text (since you already have them, then best is to use them just as a sort of reference book if there are any areas in our lectures that are causing you a problem).
With regard to the Revision Kits, the answer is ‘no’. You must use the Revision Kits to practice questions because question practice is so vital. (And for the reasons I wrote before, it is best to have new Revision Kits).
