am looking for f4 lectures base on f4 global course note
September 16, 2014 at 5:12 am #195094Hi, there are no dedicated lectures for F4 Global. However, the syllabus for the global variant is approximately 50% – 60% the same as for the English variant, so there’s a lot of help for you there.
In addition, there are global flash cards and I’m hoping that, before the end of this month, I shall have completed a substantial number of mcqs for both English and Global variants
The other substantial source for you is to read the Global past examination answers. Just because the exam is a different format than for previous sessions doesn’t affect the relevance of the answers as a source of information
Ok?
September 18, 2014 at 12:20 am #195329Does global variant study text different from English variant? Cos am using the study text of 2012 and I can’t tell if it’s English variant or global and if 2012 study text is valid for 2014 exam
September 18, 2014 at 5:21 am #195334Hi Dennis
When you say “text” are you referring to a study text? If so, the book itself will say on the front cover and on the spine whether it’s Global or English.
If you look at the index inside the book and see that there are chapters on United Nations Conventions on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods and on the International Court of Arbitration, then it’s a Global text, not an English text.
There has not been a lot changed since 2012, so much of the old text is still valid. Corporate Governance is no longer included within F4, bits and pieces have been added.
But the big difference is in the format of the examination itself. There are 70 marks for multiple choice questions and 30 marks for multiple task questions. The exam is now only 2 hours (it used to be 3 hours)
Does that help?
October 8, 2014 at 5:18 pm #203871Is this possible to amend the Exam Entry and to postpone the exam to Jan 2015 CBE exam (F4)
I Have already paid for the exams !
October 8, 2014 at 8:45 pm #203910I believe that this is a matter of you negotiating with ACCA!
I am also of the belief, though I don’t know for sure, that you will need a better excuse for deferring than just feeling that you have not prepared enough
But if, for example, you are scheduled to go into hospital, then I’m pretty sure that ACCA will have no problems accepting your deferral
I don’t think you will get your entry fee back. ACCA will simply leave it on credit in your account and it will pay (or mostly pay, if the exam entry fee increases for 2015) for your deferred attempt.
Hope that helps
