- September 8, 2014 at 10:10 pm #194376Hi.this is going to be my third attempt in dec 2014 for the last two times i am flunking at 48 .i do not to understand the reason .please help me out September 9, 2014 at 7:44 am #194398Read the recent posts on the P7 Ask the Tutor pages. Then, if you need to, post again September 11, 2014 at 11:49 am #194655sure i will but i am curious why at 48 September 15, 2014 at 5:37 am #194976Because you needed 2 more correct, relevant, markable points. The marker will have gone through your script certainly twice and possibly three times. The examiner too is likely to have reviewed your script. Read the notes on examination technique on this site for P7 and exams in general Read the two articles by 2 guys from the P3 marking team – published in Student Accountant about two years ago with (from memory) the heading “Exam technique” Then ask yourself “Is this what I do in exams, or are all these articles to which Mike has directed me new to me?” September 21, 2014 at 12:37 pm #195774try getting a re-take course by any good tuition providers where the check ur attempted past papers and suggest you on your mark scoring technique September 21, 2014 at 4:13 pm #195779and read the examiner’s report for the two exams you have already taken. Remember, those two marks are collected by writing just two more relevant sentences! Do you plan your answers or just go straight in? When you plan an answer, do you count the number of points that you have planned to write? When you count, do you get to 50%? If you DO get exactly 50% then …….that’s not enough! If the marker doesn’t like two of them you’re back to 48% again Read those exam technique articles – they will tell you just as much as a tuition provider can
