Will changes in the current assets investments have an impact on cash flow statements? Thanks, Shams
September 2, 2014 at 3:05 pm #193330If you are meaning the short-term investment of cash, then no – because the statement explains the movement in ‘cash and cash equivalents’. Short-term investments are cash equivalents.
September 3, 2014 at 9:16 am #193439I meant that if we had a current asset investments of let’s say 5,000 last year and there is no investments this year. Does this have any impact on the cash flow?
Thanks,
September 3, 2014 at 12:18 pm #193469Assuming again that you mean short-term investments of cash, then no – it has no impact. (Because the statement explains the movement in ‘cash and cash equivalents’. Moving between cash and investments has no effect.)
