Hi,
I have gone through the f5 and f6 textbooks. I am in the process of practicing exams papers and Revision kits. But every time I look at the past papers I get really scared. How do I go about it please?
August 29, 2014 at 4:10 am #192835You need to calm down first and realize that you still have plenty of time before exams.
Did you watch all the OT lectures?
You can start slowly, and you need to understand that you are not ready for the exam yet. I would read the question first. Then watch corresponding OT video(s) as a refresh. And then start drafting an answer. It doesn’t need to be perfect on the first round, and I often cheat and check part of the answer/layout/whatever on my way. For written questions, I might not answer in total. I go through the things in my head or write down couple of bullet points to see that I’m on track and would get some marks out.
Obviously you cannot continue checking answers all the time till exams, but really, you are still in learning process. Pure revision is very short and intese period just before exams, so don’t feel bad for checking answers while answering. Take a note (very extremely short one, like 2 words but needs to make sense to you), and then use your extra short notes for last revision. And in last revision, do not cheat anymore. Answer with full sentences and make sure you know your time management.
diclaimer: please note above is pretty much what I do. I am sure someone would say itΒ΄s wrong or bad way of doing it, but it works well for me. You need to find your own way through the revision. Good luck π

August 29, 2014 at 11:58 am #192892It is now a question of practice, practice and practice!
The more you practice the less scary you will find the questions π
