how do i pass this time in December.Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
August 18, 2014 at 7:15 am #190810You use only BPP revision kits? Not opentuition material? Not examiners’ comments? Not extraneous material like http://www.accountancyage.com (that I keep recommending!)? Not IASPLUS.com (another one I keep recommending)?
Just BPP revision kit
Maybe you should be looking at other sources as well as BPP revision kit
There’s a P7 study group started ( first session was yesterday) on this site. Maybe you’re not too late to joinin with that group for your P7 studies.
I have no idea what the P5 tutor may recommend – post the P5 element of your question on the P5 Ask the Tutor page
August 28, 2014 at 8:35 am #192611ok i will use other sources thank you
August 28, 2014 at 8:37 am #192612but please what will i focus on using the https://www.accountancyage.com website and IAS PLUS
August 28, 2014 at 3:04 pm #192661Accountancy Age is a daily publication of articles many of which are suitable reading for an ACCA student in the throes of exam preparation.
Here’s a headline for an article in yesterday’s edition:
“CONFIRMED – Accountants are sexy beasts”
Seriously though, this is the front page summary of yesterday’s articles:

Accountancy Age expands on last year’s successful masterclasses with new series of coursesCONFIRMED – Accountants are sexy beasts

The number of registered firms falls 4% in 12 monthsDeloitte partner profits fall as modest growth posted
Improved economy should see better growth in 2014/15, says senior Deloitte partner David Sproul”and the very main headline at the top of the page in banner print is:
“Complaints against insolvency practitioners rise 25%
Insolvency complaints gateway receives 941 complaints in year since its launch”Now, if you cannot find anything of interest in that lot (even if it’s only to confirm that we, as a profession, are sexy beasts) then you need to get out more from your closeted environment
As for IASPLUS – the site is chock-a-block FULL of news items concerning auditing and accounting standards, exposure drafts, discussion documents, technical commentaries …..
Don’t concentrate on any one thing in particular, read, read and, read! It’s got to be more interesting than the study text of any of the approved content providers!
