I am a student who has just enrolled into acca and is going to take my knowledge module this December. I would like to know how far is it advisable to do f4 paper along with f1 f2 and f3 .or is there any other paper that can be done along with my knowledge module papers?

F4 has pretty well no overlap at all with papers F1, F2 nor F3.

Given that all those three papers are available as cbes and can be taken at any time (subject to your local cbe centre being available) why not do those and get them out of the way.

Then F4 can be done on the same basis pick one week out of the 4 offered in the year and do a cbe F4

F2 lines up nicely with F5 and F3 is a natural lead in to F7

F4 leads nowhere and F6 leads only to P6 (not available on opentuition)

So I’m thinking that if you can get rid of F1, F2 and F3 quite quickly and F4 when you have time, that would leave F5 and F7 as relatively fresh in your mind to tackle in June next year

But may I advise you to make full use of the free facilities on this site – notes, lectures, flash cards, mcqs, study buddies, forum, ask the tutor – the list is almost endless

No, November 19 is the magic date – not September, not December

Of course, the ability to attempt F4 by cbe then depends upon your local cbe approved centre and their availability

thank you sir for your valuable guidance .

sir , I received the photocopy of the first chapter for f1 paper as per bpp books from my friend and the first chapter seems to be the fifth chapter in my course notes . since I am relying solely on opentution for my first paper this has left me a little confused and worried .also I have enrolled into a college only for my 2nd and 3rd papers and they would provide with the bpp books in a week or so. sir would you recommend using bpp books and the course notes at the same time or is it better to go on with only one of them as the chapter names and points could differ.

My course notes bear no numerical relationship / similarity to any text book whether it be BPP, Kaplan, Becker or indeed any of the other publishers.

Students have posted in the past to say that they have used only opentuition notes and videos together with (and this is a MUST!) past exam questions and answers in an approved publisher’s revision kit

But of course things change – now there is no revision kit of past exam questions!

However, the law itself hasn’t changed so you can learn a huge amount of relevant material simply by reading the revision kit from June 2014 or, if you don’t want to spend your money, then download the past exam questions and answers SOON (before they are removed) from the ACCA website or, indeed, from the opentuition website

Yes, you can use them – the English law lectures are around 50% – 60% relevant for the Global syllabus.

There is a dedicated set of Global course notes and Global flash cards and within the next few days I’m hoping to get a substantial number of mcqs onto the site

What you MUST do is get hold of a revision kit from one of the reputable publishers and start into practising those mcqs and mtqs
