Hi All. Having completed all of my compulsory modules I am now left with the final two options to take in December and am trying to decide if taking P4 & P5 together is doable. I did quite well in F5 and F9 hence my choice for these modules and a quick scan over the syllabus gives me the impression it’s quite similar material? The only other idea would be to do the advanced audit as I’ve found so far that one can do very little work for the written papers as they are more common sense argument based.
The second question is regarding the study option. Up until now I’ve used LSBF online lectures and have found that after watching through them once I can pass with limited revision come exam time. However, circumstances have changed and I am no longer in a position to spend the cash on this expense so am probably going to have to make do with the study text alone. Looking through the opentuition site it would possibly make more sense for me to just use opentuition and not bother with the study text but the main reservation I have is the lack of printed material. Am i correct in thinking you cannot print opentution notes? If so how do people make do? Or is it a combination of the lectures available here and study text from BPP/Kaplan/LSBF etc?
My experience of LSBF is that they are generally very poor for the money you pay BUT the upside is that they can teach you just enough to pass rather than the entire syllabus which is never covered in its entirety.August 12, 2014 at 4:40 pm #189660Burnz0
I suggest you post your question on both the P4 and P5 Ask the Tutor pages and let John and Gromit guide you
