Pass at 55%. Quite amazed. Think the lack of structure in this sittings paper helped me massively as i was going to struggle with all the mnemonics and models etc.
August 8, 2014 at 1:52 am #187935Pass, 61%. ACCA Affiliate now! 🙂

Pass 61% , affiliate now. Thank you God! Those who have not passed please don’t lose hope. P5 just needs a positive mental attitude & a complete change of strategy if one keeps failing. Please read examiner’s reports for each session to understand what exactly the examiner wants from students & looking @ dec 2010- June 2014 past papers is vital. I also sat mock exams nearer the exam date & pilot paper the day before the exam under strict exam conditions since time pressure is an issue in P5 so I can learn to write fast & manage my time wisely. All the best to everyone & congrats to those who passed.
August 8, 2014 at 2:19 am #187962Pass with 67 first time.
August 8, 2014 at 2:33 am #187971I really need advice on which paper to choose either p5 or p4, finding it difficult to decide because I wrote f9 3 times and f5 twice. People say it doesn’t matter tho but am scared n what to make a right decision, scared of the lack of structure I hear about p5. Any good advice pls?
August 8, 2014 at 2:36 am #187973I failed at 49 marks and this is my 3rd attempt. Should I go for administrative review?

I am not sure, under what circumstances you did F9. As a tutor of F9, if you had failed F9 three times, I recommend you do P5 rather than P4 as some knowledge for P5 is borrowed from P3 and you could also use knowledge of P1 and F2. I passed in all the other papers with at least 63 marks except for P2 and P5. The only paper I had to repeat was P5 and I repeated it for the third time and passed. Of course, I was working 60 hour weeks in 3 different jobs when I set for P papers. Despite that, was able to score 75 in P3 and 65 in P4.
If you think investment appraisal and capital markets are easy to understand and your mathematics background is strong, you could try P4. Or else, I think you have a better chance of getting through in P5 than P4. If you are sitting for P5 read the comment in the forum which reads as ” How I scored 81 marks in P5 in Dec 2012 “. There is really good advice. Good luck for your studies.August 8, 2014 at 6:16 am #188087AnonymousInactive- Topics: 0

Failed too 48 – going for review too given I worked solidly for this. First exam I have failed twice and my final one. We should stick together for those with marginal fails and get them to look at these again.
