For F5 , what is the best study method , self study or through tuition provider ?
July 16, 2014 at 7:10 am #178976I think with F5 you need to study through a tuition provider because it involves a lot of things which needs a deep understanding of syllabus
July 16, 2014 at 1:12 pm #179002tmuronda: Please not answer in this forum because it is an Ask the ACCA Tutor Forum, and you are not the tutor 🙂
Please restrict your answers to the general F5 forum.July 16, 2014 at 1:15 pm #179003rrahamati:
There is no straight answer, because everyone is different!
If you do choose to self-study, then this website covers everything you need to pass the exam well (the Course Notes and the free lectures).
The one extra thing that you do need to obtain is a Revision/Exam Kit from one of the approved publishers. They contain lots of practice questions and it is vital to practice as many questions as possible to get used to the style of the exam and to the depth of knowledge required.
If there is anything that you are not certain about from my lectures then you can, of course. ask in this forum and I will do my best to help.
July 17, 2014 at 7:18 am #179046Many thanks John Moffat, in fact I studied F5 with a tuition provider some year ago, but did not pass the exam in 2 attempts, I thought I should change my study method and asked if self study is better or I should go again for a tuition provider.
Currently I am doing self study with Kaplan book and kits and of course Open Tuition notes and lectures.
I found this website very helping and useful 🙂July 17, 2014 at 8:41 am #179052If you have already used a tuition provider, then it might be better this time to self-study provided that you can motivate yourself. Then you can go more at your own speed and take the time to make sure that you really do understand everything.
