when it mentions about adv of software package and discuss the implications of this solution for process re-design?
you talk about the advantages, do you have to compare the adv of software package to bespoke development? as in question it does not say. or have i misread the question? as the solutions compares software package is better over bespoke
The implications of a software package is that it constrains everyone who buys it to doing the same things and offering the same service. It is therefore difficult to use this either to give an organisation the power to differentiate or to be a cost leader.
If the question had just asked you to discuss the advantages, you would not have had to say anything about bespoke systems. However, it also asked about implications.
