Hello, could you please explain why correct answer is A? I thought Legal prohibition is an automatically fair ground for dismissal too?

In the context of employment law, which of the following is an AUTOMATICALLY fair ground for dismissing an employee?

    A Unofficial industrial action
    B Redundancy
C Refusal to join a trade union
    D Legal prohibition

Hmmm, I agree with you. Furthermore, dismissal for unofficial industrial action may, on appeal, be held to be unfair in the situation where proper procedure wasn’t followed
