Hi
I am sitting the p7 Uk paper and was looking at the difference between both variants
I was wondering if you could give me some advise with the UK paper in question 1 and 2 it just says ‘respond to the auditors email without giving a split in mark allocations as it does on International papers
Having a huge panic as im not sure how to go about attacking them
Ive attached a link below for dec 2013
https://www.accaglobal.com/content/dam/acca/global/PDF-students/acca/p7/exampapers/uk/P7uk_2013_dec_q.pdfHow do i go about knowing how much to write for each of the elements?
Any advise will be much appreciate
Thanks
Tulsi
May 25, 2014 at 12:25 pm #170657Well, it’s a 63 minute question split into three elements – acquisition of Zennor, disposal of Broadway and use of internal auditors – so I suggest that you use your planning time (17 minutes) to try to get up to 31 different points (10 for each part) and that will leave you with 46 minutes to write your answer. 46 minutes = 1.5 minutes for each of the planned 31 ponts
If you find that you can think of 12 for Zennor and 11 for Broadway but you are struggling to get past 8 for internal auditors, ok, there’s your time allocation! 18 for Zennor, 16.5 for disposal of Broadway and 12 for internal auditors
That’s a total of 46.5 minutes
How much time you devote to each? Probably ok to work on the general principle of an even split of marks (unless otherwise indicated) but if you’re struggling to get 10 points on (say) internal auditors, then you may need to think on your feet and slightly tweak the allocation
But I am really surprised that the mark allocation is not clearer
Hope that helps
