How do i study for f8 with very little tym left??
May 18, 2014 at 1:11 am #169259I don’t know but I am just listening to lectures over and over and reading answers in the bpp revision kit, it’s so boring – it’s hard to concentrate on the reading the lectures make it much more interesting
May 21, 2014 at 8:20 pm #169983practice past papers, made an appropriate answer and then read examiner solution.
May 21, 2014 at 9:39 pm #169996I am on the same boat… only started this week.
You can:
1. Review the main points of all the main topics: Audit framework, Internal Audit, Planning and risk assessment, Internal Control, Audit Evidence, review and reporting
2. Familiarise yourself with key concepts, such as tests of control, tests of details, substantive procedures, sampling, audit risk, audit strategy, material misstatements, assertions, etc.
3. Get a knowledge of how to obtain audit evidence, and generate audit procedures for the main areas (wages, payables, payments, receivables, cash & bank, etc.)
4. start reading the questions and UNDERSTANDING the answers from a good exam kit (like Kaplan)…. read them all.. no time to start practising, but if you get some time go for it…And good luck…. sit the exam. It is a lot of common sense.
Cheers

May 25, 2014 at 9:42 pm #170833The key is to have knowledge n apply to exam question…
If at any point u get stuck in audit paper jjust use common sense. ?.
Keep yourself in that situation n think what could u have done to get through it..IMAGINATION IS BETTER THAN HAVING KNOWLEDGE-EINSTIEN
Goood luck to all of us for exam ;d

Never heard this sentence but a good one! Very appropraite for F8 exam where it is about 30% of knowledge and 70% about imagination.
June 16, 2014 at 9:57 am #176700I would say that all the acca exam are about practising the exam kit and that is it !
Study text should be only read once ( if you have time)
The key to succeed is simply to practice and be familiar with the exam questions…
That is it!Barbara
