Hello Sir,
Pleas help me where the figure for Depreciation charge is coming from in the following question:
ASSETS:
2009 2008
Non -Current Assets
Tangible assets 832 681
Note:
Tangible non-current assets addtion totalling $200,000 were made.Proceeds from sale of tangible assets were $103,000. on which Zita suffered a loss of $6,000.
IN THE SOLUTION
There is depreciation of $50.
Please help me with the calculation for the $50
Kind Regards.
Brought forward 681
Revalued this year (150 – 40) 110
Additions (per question point ii) 200
Disposals (103 + 6) (109)
Expected position (add up those 4 amounts) 882
Actual position carried forward 832
Therefore depreciation must have been 882 – 832 = 50
OK?
