Dear Sir,
is the approach of doing questions, by just doing the answer plans to help you answer as many questions as possible in the preparation stage a good approach in the event that time is limited?

I assume you are talking about pre-exam preparation not the preparation in the initial 15 minutes of the exam.
If so, then answer plans then comparison with the model answer is an excellent approach. Look up text/notes for anything in the model answer that’s confusing.
