Hello, I would like to know if the syllabus has changed for the exams after Feb 2014 for paper F1.
Could I use a study text suitable for exams until Feb 2014 or would I need to get a new one?
Many thanks

My study book (BPP) shows Feb 14 to August 15 on the front so I’m assuming no further changes until then?
ACCA have got the full list of changes to the syllabus that existed previously on their website so hopefully this should cover everything you need to know?

Thanks for replying. I am getting the most recent study text (BPP as well) until Aug 15, it’s probably the best.
Good luck with your exam, how much time have you been studying for it? I am hoping to sit mine on the last May date, but I am not yet sure I will have enough time to study, while working full time.
April 23, 2014 at 9:12 pm #166038Hi Diana. I sit mine a week Saturday! I know the feeling on full time work…I’m an FD in industry with an 8 month old daughter too! I started revisin early March over my lunch hours and do 4 hours on a Sunday. This week I’ll have done a couple of night after work for a few hours. The best practice are the acca mock exams which can be bought as a pack of three. They are really useful for applying your knowledge and working out areas if weakness. I’m exempt from f2 & f3 so straight into f4 and f5 in Decemeber (or earlier if f4 does become a cbe by sept 14!!). You studying much for the f1?

April 23, 2014 at 10:21 pm #166049Hi Chris,
It must be challenging to fit study within a busy life.
I have just recently decided to do ACCA, and while getting the books I’m going through the material on Open Tuition. I could get exemptions for the first 4 papers but I prefer to forfeit them and sit the exams. So I was planning to atempt F1 at the end of May, but I’m not sure how realistic it would be to pass it after 1 month of studying around a full time job. I will see how I will get on. I will have a look at the mock exams on the ACCA site, thanks for the tip.
