Hello Guys
I am doing f7 and f8 this june and to be honest i am not really fond of the theory stuff. My question is that… is it ok if i write theoretical answers in exam in my own words? the theory of both f7 and f8 is difficult for me to memorize since it is very technical so will that be ok if i just understand the concept and write in my own words rather than copy paste the exact definitions from bpp text?
here is an example:
In BPP study text, the concept of “undesirability” is defined as “Classifying, Categorizing and presenting information clearly and concisely will make it understandable for the user”
Instead of this, can i write in my own words, “Undesirability concept states that the financial information should be presented in a clear and concise manner in order to facilitate the user. Care should be taken to ensure that financial information is understandable for its target audience and its complexity should not undermine its relevance. This does not mean that the entity should omit the complex information altogether because of the underlying difficulty of undesirability. Undesirability simply means disclosing information iN a systematic manner rather than through a haphazard approach.”
plz advise if i am on the right track
March 13, 2014 at 10:14 am #162213Is it your first time giving an ACCA Exam? this is a professional education so there is no Plagiarism here, Examiners will reject your paper If you simply Copy Paste directly from some Popular content like Text book or model Answers, and even you cannot do so because they are too lengthy enough that you will have no time to copy it, here in ACCA Examiner urges to write Theory Answers in your own Wordings. so you are on a right track and do write answers in your own wordings NEVER COPY it from any source, your answer in your own wordings must be clear, concise and not so lengthy and to the point that examiner can understand. Hope it Helps.
