February 9, 2014 at 12:35 pm #157261dont panic Audit is not an easy paper ! i failed as well and now barely passed at 57, i believe the most important areas to master are
1) Reports conclusion – modified, unmodified …..qualified / unqualified – are very tricky bits
2) the case scenarios with tabular format to explain why would you to the Audit techniques ie :i would observe the employee clocking in TO ENSURE compliance of the internal procedures.
you need to say 1) what you do + 2) why you do that test!
February 9, 2014 at 5:00 pm #157382tell me what i do now. i would like to leave f8 in next attempt because their is huge difference in mark of 8. if i failed at 48,47 or above 45 then i could cosider me pass in next attempt. but unfortunately the examiner stuck off me at 42 each time. my friend told me not to do f8 next attempt leave it and give it on dec 2014.

I did F9 and it’s a challenging paper so I think F9 and P1 are a good combination
February 10, 2014 at 10:25 am #157651I passed but with a much lower score than I expected.
I gather this is very common in this exam.
My tutor said a lot of people leave the exam thinking they have done really well and then suprised they have failed. He said this is mainly because there are lots of areas that you can answer but it’s very easy to answer incorrectly and score no marks.
For example answering with business rather than audit risk. Listing substantive tests rather than control tests.
The other area is in your answer. With most you need to expand the answer to explain why it is a risk or what you are looking to test. It is these answers where you think yep I answered that for 2 marks and you have only got 1/2 or even 0.
February 13, 2014 at 9:24 am #158524I failed in f8 and I am a bright student . I studied everything and the paper was easy … I answered every question in the paper and I failed miserably … :/ like really bad marks much lower than any of ur marks … I even compared my answers to the answers when they came out and I wrote the same thing … :/ what could have gone wrong

February 24, 2014 at 11:32 am #159932Hi senha,
I am facing the same situation and find it difficult with F8. Could we be study buddies, listen to each other approach and correct it. It will be more easier to study with a buddy than alone. If you are agreeable, email me and from there we can exchange a mode of communication.
Email I’d: jayasheela_a@yahoo.com
Thanks!
