Do I have enough knowledge to pass P4 considering I have cleared ACCA paper till only F9 and it will be the only paper I will take this attempt ?
January 23, 2014 at 12:20 pm #154360i dont quite understand your question but i think i you can take at least 4 papers per session. thus if you re through with all the Fs you can take P1 P2 P3 n P4 thus you can choose any from the 4
January 23, 2014 at 12:31 pm #154362I am also doing MBA in Finance and Banking. I do 1 paper of ACCA with 6 courses of MBA each semester. Of the 6 courses 2 relate to financial management. I just want to know keeping aside MBA, do I have enough foundation knowledge to pass P4 or does knowledge of P1, P2 and P3 is crucial ?
January 23, 2014 at 12:39 pm #154364Knowledge of P1, P2 and P3 is not relevant (a little bit of P3 maybe, but only to a simple level).
However, you will not be allowed to take P4 unless you attempt P1, P2 and P3 at the same time (or have already passed them).
January 23, 2014 at 12:46 pm #154365i think its possible John but he will need to go in for the 4 and then later cancel 3 n write only one. but that will mean you will pay for the 4. but if he does that, the following sessions he can then go in for the others without paying since the ACCA will be owing him
January 23, 2014 at 12:49 pm #154366In that case which is the most advisable paper to attempt amongst P1, P2 and P3 keeping in mind that I will take only one paper this attempt and will be the least difficult to pass ?
January 23, 2014 at 12:51 pm #154367It is hard to say because everyone is different and everyone finds different papers harder!
Probably P1 would be the best one to take.January 23, 2014 at 1:04 pm #154369If I take P2 this attempt and Godforbidden fail. Will I still be eligible to take P4 next attempt ?
January 23, 2014 at 1:06 pm #154370John has said it all. people are different. the only one i have attempted among the Ps is P2 n it was tough. still waiting for the exam. i am currently reading the P3 text and its a boring subject because its all literature. i hate literature but unfortunately i must pass it
January 23, 2014 at 1:10 pm #154371You are only eligible to take P4 when you have passed P1, P2 and P3.
The only way round that it to take P4 together with any of P1, P2 and P3 that you have not passed – all at the same time.
January 25, 2014 at 10:56 am #154436Regardless of whether you can/cannot take P4 straight away. The syllabus is at a much much higher level than F9.
It’s a big jump, and the technical level of knowledge required for P4 is way above anything you will see in any of the other P papers.
Do not try to shortcut this one my friend, take your time through P1/2/3 as they do progressively teach you a different perspective which you need at P4.February 3, 2014 at 6:14 pm #154964Sir, Can I take P1 and P3 in June 2014 sitting and then for December 2014 take P2 and P4/P6?
Do you need to do P1, P2 and P3 in order?February 3, 2014 at 6:51 pm #154974That is fine – you can take P1, P2 and P3 in any order 🙂
February 3, 2014 at 11:11 pm #154992Thanks a million sir 🙂
February 5, 2014 at 10:36 am #155183for registering p4 you have to register for the p1 p2 and p3 at first and only after you can register for p4 exams and once you have been registered for p4 you wont be able to cancel the registeration for p1 p2 and p3 which the ;chiclarence: said that you can since there is an exam progression rule for acca.the only wat to do this is to t=register for all the 4 papers and sit for p4 alone..how i was managed to sit for p4 just after my f9 was, i registered for p1 p2 p3 p4 and taken exams for p1 p3 and p4..and left the p2 as un attempted
