I have a question regarding P3. I am planning to attempt it next June, however, I am concerned about my eligibility to attempt this paper. Could you please let me know when does an ACCA candidate become eligible to attempt P3? Do I need to be done with ALL the F papers in order to be able to attempt it?

My problem is that I want to start studying for this paper a little bit early (before I get my exam results for December exams) because I have work commitments so I need to use my time now, however, I am concerned I will study for nothing if it turns out I have failed one of my exams and that this will cause me to be ineligible for P3.

    Please see below:

My status at the moment is that I am awaiting the results of December 13 exam session in which I have attempted F7, F8 and F9. I am almost sure I will pass F8 and F9 (very optimistic about my performance in them) and I am crossing fingers for F7 and thinking I have a good chance to pass it. But still concerned that I (might) fail it and if I do, then it will be the only paper remaining for me from the fundamental level and I am wondering, if I fail it (hope not!!) would that make me ineligible for p3 giving that I will not be “completely” done with the fundamental level?

Apologies for this LONG explanation, I just wanted to make my question clear.

I very much appreciate your assistance.

    Thanks, Maha

even if you failed all 3 F level papers (as long as these are the final F papers you have left)
you can retake them with P3 exam

Thank you very much!! Yes they are my final papers, I have cleared all the other fundamental papers!

    Thank you,

    Maha
